April 2009
TES-timonial: Mark Woodruff, Restoration Professionals Inc.

I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how pleased we are with our TES unit. I have been involved in the restoration industry since 1989 so I have seen a lot of the "newest and best" drying equipment that has hit the market. This along with all of the drying schools that I have attended made me very skeptical about the TES system and the Reets method of drying.

In 2007 and early 2008 we were looking for a solution for the difficult drying situations that we seemed to run into on a daily basis. These included crawlspaces, concrete, plaster, and the ever difficult to dry bottom sill plates of stud walls. We were doing everything we had been trained to do to dry these trouble areas, but continually found ourselves facing the frustration of 5 and 6 day drying jobs, sometimes even as much as 10 days to dry concrete. This frustration led me to have a conversation with Angela Pless of Interlink Supply. She convinced me to attend your seminar and listen with an open mind. I listened to your explanation of how the system worked, and it all made sense. I placed an order and received my TES unit in April of 2008.

Since obtaining our TES unit and attending the Reets Drying Academy, we have solved all of our frustrating drying problems. We now dry crawlspaces in 2 days, ceramic tile floors in 2 days, concrete in 3 days, and plus we have the added benefit of drying standard jobs with the carpet and padding in place. Even on jobs where the TES is not practical or required, we utilize the knowledge of the Reets method to supplement our conventional equipment. TES is not a total replacement for our conventional equipment, but it is a very important tool in our toolbox and has made us a better mitigation company. We successfully processed over 400 flood claims in 2008 and it would not have been possible without our TES unit and 6 E-TES's.

This is not just a testimonial to the abilities of the TES unit, but also to the invaluable knowledge learned at the Reets Drying Academy and the absolutely top notch customer service that I receive from Angela Pless and Interlink Supply. You guys have a real winning combination.

Interlink Financial Services
IFS Introduces Their Homeowner Support Program for Restoration Contractors

Interlink Financial Services, the cleaning and restoration industry's leading financial services company is pleased to introduce to the industry their new Homeowner Support Program. When the restorer arrives on an insurance claim, and finds the homeowner does not have enough insurance to cover the needed work, Interlink Financial Services can arrange financing for the homeowner-up to $20,000 in quick cash. A homeowner who has suffered a devastating fire or water loss may find themselves in a place where their coverage is lacking or they are generally under-insured. They have enough to deal with physically and emotionally already. In today's credit crunched environment, finding financing alternatives at the drop of a dime may be difficult, if not impossible. Even if the homeowner has excellent credit, and an established relationship with a lender, their lender may be cash-strapped right now and unable to help out. That is where the Interlink Financial Homeowners Support Program can help out. Cleaners or Restorers with an active contract with Interlink Financial are eligible to participate. For more information contact Interlink Financial at 800-655-1207.

Interlink Financial Services provides financing options for major carpet cleaning equipment and water damage restoration equipment. In the present economic turmoil impacting traditional loan sources, Interlink Financial is extremely well capitalized and has money to loan or lease to qualified cleaning and restoration companies. Interlink Financial Services programs are available exclusively through your local Interlink Supply Distributor.

TES and E-TES are exclusive products offered by the Interlink Supply Network.

Technical Bulletin: TES Maintenance

Proper maintenance is required to keep your restoration equipment operating properly, prevent downtime and to extend the life of your equipment.

Your TES unit has maintenance requirements that differ greatly from other types of restoration equipment. We have created a TES Maintenance Log to assist you in scheduling and recording the maintenance needed to keep your TES operating properly. Read your TES Operator's Manual for more information about the TES maintenance requirements and procedures.

The TES Maintenance Log will be now included in the new TES Operator's Manuals along with instructions on how to perform these maintenance procedures. The maintenance procedures listed on the TES Maintenance Log are for updated and current production TES models. The procedures for older units may vary.

With factory testing, feedback from TES users, service calls, failure analysis and repairs we are getting more information on the TES maintenance requirements, a better idea of the interval timing of the corresponding maintenance procedures and how differences in setup and operation can affect the recommended intervals. As we learn more we will continue to make changes in the manual and the maintenance log.

Much of the required maintenance can be done by the TES operator; however servicing, inspection and adjustment of the propane heater must be done by trained technicians in accordance with all applicable local and national codes.

Instructions for propane heater inspection and servicing will only be provided to TES Factory Trained Technicians, licensed HVAC or gas appliance repair technicians and certified propane equipment service technicians. Contact your TES distributor for the answers to any questions you may have on how to properly maintain your TES unit and to schedule the required service to keep your TES operating efficiently and safely.
